Now, the latest news that has come out is the schools in the state of Tamil Nadu would have half yearly vacations beginning from 25th Of December and it would be till 2nd of January 2022. This was mentioned by the school education minister Mr, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi today.
It is worth mentioning that every year as soon as the half yearly exams get over vacations would be announced from Christmas till New Year. The Coronavirus pandemic has led to the school reopening later this year. As a result, both quarterly as well as half yearly exams were canceled for the students. It must not be forgotten that on 21st December a senior officer belonging to the school education department mentioned that the chances of giving half yearly vacations to the students were bleak. This was mainly because of the fact that most schools were lacking behind the schedule to cover the syllabus due to shortage of time available.
The school education minister took many by surprise today at the press meet when he mentioned that half yearly vacations would start from 25th December and end on 2nd January.
